Philly officers taken off street after videotaped beating

More than a dozen officers were involved, but Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey said investigators were having the videotape enhanced to help determine how many of them were actually striking the suspects.

Any information police find will be sent to prosecutors, who will determine whether charges are warranted.

1. well, at least some good use can come from the intrusive use of cameras everywhere

Assuming of course they don't some how become "lost", "deleted", or in any other way unavailable for the use in getting justice in this situation.

The extraordinary thing is the cops know the cameras are there and it does not curb there behavior. What does that say about how free they feel to use force?

They feel immune to accountability.

I wonder where they would get an idea like that?

Leadership does matter and having moral leaders makes for a more moral community.

The police need change the process of arrests at the end of car chases. These police are not in control of themselves how can they be allowed to take control of a suspect? This looks like a World Wide Wrestling event gone bad.
