S. Az desert claims 2 as Border Patrol saves illegal immigrant suspects
Source: Tucson Citizen

Since Monday afternoon, U.S. Border Patrol agents in southern Arizona's desert saved several severely dehydrated people, one unsuccessfully; located a group of illegal immigrant suspects; and found skeletal remains of a woman.
The first incident was at 3:20 p.m. Monday, when an agent on patrol found the woman's skeleton about four miles west of the village of Vamori, about 10 miles north of the Mexican border on the Tohono O'odham Nation, agent Michael Scioli said.
There was no identification found with the woman, who was buried under a blanket and a pile of rocks. Determination of her gender was based on undergarments found with the remains, he said.
At 3:25 p.m. another agent on patrol near Arivaca found a man in distress who said his brother, also suffering dehydration, was unconscious in the nearby desert, Scioli said. The agent found the man's 22-year-old brother still alive, with a weak pulse and shallow breathing.
The agent began CPR on the man while waiting for a helicopter ambulance to arrive.
The helicopter arrived about 4:10 p.m. and took the brother to an area hospital, but he died at 4:45 p.m., Scioli said. It was unclear if the Sinaloa, Mexico, man died in the helicopter or at the hospital.

1. Two of hundreds every year who die trying to get here to work.
One more reason for comprehensive immigration reform.

3. No, what we need
is for the Mexican government to start taking care of their people. And that won't happen unless the people of Mexico take back power from the rich. We act as a pressure relief valve for Mexico, and one day it will have to stop.

6. We can only hope that happens
both there and here. Both of our people need to take back the power.

5. "the people of Mexico take back power from the rich"
that is exactly what is happening - we should start paying attention.
