5. What can he be thinking? This will heap dishonor upon the noble reputation of the Republican Party.
Unforgivable!

Congressman Vito.

6. He's a co-author of the 9.11 first responder
bill H.R. 3543, so that's good. But, Cheney did a fund raiser for him last week, so I had my doubts.

Karma?

14. There is nothing good about Vito Fossela. I should know.
I live in the District he allegedly represents.

He is a just a Bush-loving scumbag.

Sadly, however, this may not be enough to defeat him.

10. In 2006 the Dem got 43% against him, the highest ever
I already thought we had a chance to take him out this year, but now this latest development makes the race look even more winnable.

There are least two Democrats competing for the nomination. Steve Harrison is a lawyer who ran in 2006. Domenic Recchia, a New York City Council member, has the advantage of having won elections before (Harrison hasn't), but Recchia's biggest problem is that he doesn't live in the district.

18. He violated a very serious Law, so yes he should resign immediately
It just goes to show Republican's total disregard for the LAW..This is a serious offense and should be treated as such...People die often because of people like him that disregard this LAW. It is SERIOUS...

17. Nadler thinks this is a seat we can pick up...
I had dinner with him last month and he was discussing the prospects. It dependson which Dem wins the primary, and his preference is the Italian City Councilman (I forget his name) and not Steve Harrison, the progressive.

Looks like he was already planning to retire, though, so it won't be an issue for him.

Mr. Fossella failed several sobriety tests on the street, including a preliminary breath test on which he registered a blood alcohol level of 0.133 percent.
