1. Did he mention the 8/6 memo?
I hear it was completely blacked out.

5. True, but his patience for W&friends appears to have worn thin
I suspect Lou lost a ton of moolah from his stock portfolio because of the unelected moron, which is why he appears to be an especially grouchy brain wash mind fuck.

12. And Dobbs was VERY good about the corporate fraud
Remember he gave us the Enron scoreboard when no one else wanted to pay attention. Principled pro-war people (and they do exist) have just as much reason to be angry at the lies and deception as those of us who saw it coming.

6. I'm no Dobbs fan, either, but it's good that he's talking about this.

I haven't watched any television news today but I suspect the 9/11 report is being eclipsed by the photos of certain prominent Iraqis' bodies. So good on Lou for talking about the 9/11 report and its deficiencies.

13. Not as much as you'd expect, DemBones
I suspect the 9/11 report is being eclipsed by the photos of certain prominent Iraqis' bodies.

For one thing, they are such gruesome pix that they couldn't keep showing them as much as I'm sure the WH would have liked. And, I've had the feeling all day that Uday and Qusay aren't going to be enough to squelch all the pent-up stuff they have to blast the bushies with.

16. Dead bodies, Kobe Bryant, Sniper shooting case....
everything BUT the 9/11 report is in the news today. Interesting, isn't it?

15. Dobbs has been very critical of W recently
You gotta keep in mind that Dobbs is a money guy. W has driven the economy and the stock market into the basement, thus Dobbs has no reason to like him. I actually respect Dobbs quite a bit. Sure he is all about money, but at least he does not hide what his agenda is.

Edited on Thu Jul-24-03 05:29 PM by bahrbearian
We haven't had good coverage on that in the Media. Seem's they are trying to make it Clinton's fault with todays "we may have had info for three years that terriost were going to crash planes into buildings".

4. I won't watch him anyway.
You can bet that he didn't touch on any of the Saudi connections with the Bush family.

8. Now that would be something
How many americans do you think are at all aware of the Bush family connections to the bin Laden's?

BTW - anyone know how Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 911 is coming along?

9. Mindy Kleinberg still has a lot of unanswered questions
http://www.9-11commission.gov/hearings/hearing1/witness_kleinberg.htm

Statement of Mindy Kleinberg to the
National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States
March 31, 2003

The Theory of Luck
With regard to the 9/11 attacks, it has been said that the intelligence agencies have to be right 100% of the time and the terrorists only have to get lucky once. This explanation for the devastating attacks of September 11th, simple on its face, is wrong in its value. Because the 9/11 terrorists were not just lucky once: they were lucky over and over again. Allow me to illustrate.

10. How stupid is this Administration?
How do you leave out 28 pages from such an important investigation and think you're NOT going to arouse any suspicions. Didn't these people learn ANYTHING from Nixon?

11. That is a dumb move
All that does is draw attention to it and create controversy.

20. Actually, I'll bet you
that some Dems fought mighty hard to make sure that there were 28 blank pages in that report. I'm sure folks like Porter Goss would have been just as happy to jump right over what the bushies wanted taken out. It almost certainly took some wrangling to make sure there WERE 28 blank pages.

14. Well, this just might be a major bonus...
...>>19 pages blacked out<<

Anybody else here old enough to remember the flap over an 18-minute gap on a certain audio tape?

Mind you, I hold out no real hope that Our Courageous Media Warriors will actually address the issue...

...but it does definitely tickle the old deja who? button.

speculatively,
Bright

17. I sure am.
And I hope the 19 pages cause the same amount of furor that the 18 minutes did.

18. On EVERY news show I watched
the missing pages (I thought there were 28) were mentioned. Every one.

And not only were they mentioned, but it was noted that there was only one reason for those pages to be missing - the info would be embarrassing for the WH.

In fact, on one show, the report was held up and the redacted pages were shown.

And, one of the Senators said they kept all the redacted pages in the report so people could see how much info the WH didn't want the people to know!

19. This is going to get real tricky for the Bush Crime Family
In order to save themselves, they are going to have to expose the Saudis. The Saudis know far too much about the Bush Crime Family and their roles in 9-11, Iraq, Iran, Israel, assorted bombing attributed to Muslims, gun-running, drug running, and all the assorted graft and corruption the Family thrives on.
They may have to take their lawyer, James Baker III, back, even though his job has been to defend the Saudis against the 9-11 victim's families.
