CLEVELAND -- National City officials said its preparing to outsource up to 200 jobs to India.

The jobs are moving from the 2,000-employee operations center to India.

The jobs involve screening computer images of checks and processing payments and deposits.

National City would not comment on specifics about the data and operations center on West 150th Street.

Nice....With Ohio's high unemployment numbers....this is just what we need.

National City can't say this is due to the lack of skills here. I know of a few people that have applied there and weren't hired.

1. Which candidate has a close relationship with India (outsourcing)?

Hint: There are 7 letters in first and last name.

2. I know who the hell that is.....
This just pisses me off. I was alarmed to read it. There are so many unemployed here.....Cleveland is becoming a damn ghost town. This shit has to stop. I intend on sending this to everyone I know. Many do their banking with National City and will pull their money out and put it elsewhere. I'm sure they don't want their private banking information in India.

3. National City had its mortgage banking headquarters
in Dayton, where I live. Those offices are now empty and the people are unemployed.

Sucks.

6. HRC and Bill are huge supporters of India Business and Outsourcing!
Edited on Fri Apr-11-08 12:14 PM by 1776Forever
And Ohio went for Hillary - someone should have told them about this:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x4919403

And this:

India and The Gap Exlpoit Child Slave Labor

(snip)

Hillary loves outsourcing our jobs AND all of the other good stuff that NAFTA “free-trade” deals allow: like Indian child slave labor that keeps a few wealthy GAP executives in Prada pantsuits while exploiting poor children from other lands. When you are an insulated elitist, it doesn’t matter anymore where you live or what nationality you are -– exploitation and slavery are just one elitist lobbyist phone call away. There’s a “gap” alright between certain insulated candidates, America’s working class, and child slave labor that global elites of all stripes just don’t seem to care about.

Bill and Hillary are BFF to wealthy, super outsourcing fundraisers from India who run in fast circles of elites who seek to profit by replacing our jobs with Indian citizens at any human cost. Not only is presidential candidate Hillary Clinton beholden to corporate interests at the expense of working class Americans (like people not living off of stock dividends) as she accepts corporate gifts, financial rewards and favors in exchange for her commitment to selling our jobs to foreign elites from India, but HRC is the number ONE candidate that Indian lobbyists rely on for support in their elitist race to the bottom.

Hillary’s support for UN-FAIR trade agreements that promote corporate "guest worker" programs used to replace American white-collar workers with imported cheap, foreign labor has made her the darling among Indian elites who have everything to gain by outsourcing.

According to this Washington Post article "A Quiet Rainmaker",

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/07/06/AR2007070602091.html

Hillary and Bill are tied to Indian “super fundraisers” who apparently are just not that into us – not just here, but in other countries like India where greedy elitists are creating a global ruling caste with a gap between the rich and poor so wide as to make the Plantation Society Days of yore look like Christmas.

India and The Gap Exlpoit Child Slave Labor

(snip)

Hillary clearly does not belong in the White House. The insulated Clintons have reaped significant financial rewards from their gluttonous relationship with the Indian community, both in their personal finances, all the free curry that clogged Bill’s ticker and almost sent him to an early grave, and Hillary’s campaign fundraising.

Hillary Clinton, who is the co-chair of the Senate India Caucus has drawn criticism from anti-offshoring groups for her vocal support of Indian business and unwillingness to protect American jobs. She is no friend of the American people – or of the Indian slave labor children who her wealthy global corporatist supporters rely on to widen the gap between rich and poor through disastrous outsourcing practices.

11. Patriotic Americans don't want those jobs!
They know that their big, American wages would contribute to making the company completely unable to compete in the global marketplace, and the economy would go to heck as a result. Only Commie sympathizers who want to see the downfall of capitalism would take those jobs, donchaknow?

16. You got a mortgage from them?
A little over 5 years ago when Cleveland City Council passed laws against predatory lenders (which were owned by the big guys, NCB included) they quit writing ALL mortgages in Cleveland. I had a buyer for my house, and the deal fell through. I went to my bank, National City to take out a 2nd mortgage to buy my house in Florida. Even with sterling credit, the wouldn't even give me an application!

Cleveland caved in, but my buyer was spooked. It took me 4 more years to sell that house.

28. Actually, it wasn' that bad dealing with them, but then again
I'm not in the Cleveland area, (Originally from there through). I got an FHA loan through NCB with "fair/good" credit. I took a loan for a lot less than I was approved for. Christ I hate this! I'm sick of assholes firing people in this country so then can save a fucking dime! I want to punch something right now.

Very soon they'll either be bought out or go under. As evil as the outsourcing is, it probably doesn't matter because those jobs won't be there anyway.

39. Bitch-ass National City.
The rigid suit-and-tie facade example of everything wrong with corporate American banking today. Millions and millions in crap scratch-and-dent loans. Greedbag CEOs with golden parachutes. Lookalike workers living in fear of their jobs. Layoffs. Job Offshoring.

Big Green can go fuck themselves and the short-term-thinking horse they rode in on.

As soon as I read this in the Blame Dealer I knew this would make it to DU. And don't be surprised at the PD boards - since PD is a rag for the irresponsible right (and, sorry to say, that odious Cavuto-esque douche Kevin O'Brien being groomed as it's Editorial head), it's only natural they're loaded with freepturds on every forum.
