PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Former White House aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby Jr. will not fight to keep his law license in Pennsylvania. Libby was disbarred by Washington, D.C., courts last month over his perjury conviction in the CIA leak case.
His attorney, Alex Bourelly, says Libby on Tuesday will not fight the reciprocal action in Pennsylvania. State and federal court officials in Pennsylvania have issued a temporary suspension in the wake of Libby's conviction.
Libby had an inactive law license in Pennsylvania, where he worked early in his career.
President Bush commuted his 30-month sentence for perjury and obstruction in the case of former CIA operative Valerie Plame.
