7. On a Sunday in Puerto Rico? Anybody ever hear of elections being held on a Sunday
anywhere in the US?

I haven't, doesn't mean it isn't, just sounds fishy

17. I know that Sunday voting
is how they do things in Europe, the rationale being that most people have the day off and so don't have to make the choice between voting and being late/leaving early/missing work and not voting, so you get a bigger voter turnout. I haven't seen anything on the Puerto Rican decision, but perhaps they are trying to pioneer a new voting style in America. I personally would have not problem voting on a Sunday.

8. Depends. How does he poll among all voters? This is designed for maximum turn out.
If Obama does exceptionally well among voters here (which he may well) then the change could have been made for political reasons to counter charges that he does not do well in primary voting and that his total numbers are not as high as Hillary's, since it might boost his total numbers and give him a primary win.

Therefore, while at first glance this would seem to favor Hillary, it might actually be a change made in an Obama stronghold designed to give Obama a political boost going into the convention.

Anyone know any recent general population polls from PR as opposed to likely caucus goer polls?

14. Hmmm I think you may have a few people disagree on how reputable
DemConWatch is, but it's clearly not "mainstream". Sorry bout that, I'll be more careful in the future.

10. Official Said Dems Misinterpreted Their Law
I read one Puerto Rican official say that the election was always supposed to be June 1st, but that the Dems had misinterpreted their law and thought it was supposed to be later. There may have been a language barrier.

13. Update on OP, too late to edit
" change the voting process from 8 caucuses to a primary with voting places in all 1,800+ barrios in Puerto Rico's 78 municipalities. This is done in light of the hundreds of thousands of Democrats expected to turn out on June 1, a late date in which we would have originally expected a pro-forma vote with low turnout."
