When US blames Qaeda for its own crime
Source: Press TV*

Baghdad's al-Sarafiya Bridge allegedly blown up by remote-controlled explosives, was in fact destroyed by a US warplane, a new report says.

A video taken on a cellphone indicates that a US F-16 dropped a 'five-hundred-pounder' on the bridge in April.

"We're dropping a five <...> hundred pound bomb on that <...> house over there. Yeah," says an unknown man on the recording with a clear American accent.

"We got a F-16, we got a <...> M1 Abrams over there," the man continues.

"Ten second impact! Get down and plug your ears," another unidentified man says.

As the video continues, the audio suggests that a jetfighter entering the area drops the bomb on the bridge.

...continued.

After the incident, the US military falsely claimed that the al-Qaeda had taken responsibility for the destruction of the bridge.

Can anyone find another source?

6. Holy war.....what's going on over there?
Pathetic in every sense. I'm sure WE didn't know WE bombed the bridge? Sure thing. And of course the journalism in this oppressed nation wouldn't think to investigate or report any such damaging news.

Has Pravda moved to this side of the ocean now? I believe so. I used to think lawyers were the least respected profession in the world. Now there is no question...it's journalists that are government pawns.

9. The video does not seem to support the claim
that the US blew up the bridge. The video shows that the building to the north of the bridge was hit (as intended) and that nothing seem to hit the center of the bridge.

10. I usually wait until I can find other sources to corroborate stories from "PressTV" but...
I jumped the gun with this story. Its obvious PressTV like Fox News interest is not journalism but instead disseminating government propaganda. I won't post their stories here anymore.

11. Sorry, CNN were too busy ...
... shitting themselves in the Green Zone to get to anywhere near the action.

:P

Do you *really* think that an "embedded" cameraman would be allowed to
send their "better quality" video of the US forces blowing up a bridge
by mistake?

Or, better yet, footage of the US forces *deliberately* destroying the
Iraqi civilian infrastructure so that Halliburton et al can charge a
fortune to (eventually) rebuild it in their usual half-assed fashion?

Oops?
