'Bullets' man stopped at Heathrow

Wednesday, 14 January, 2004, 16:06 GMT

A Sudanese man has been arrested by police at Heathrow Airport after being stopped for allegedly carrying five bullets in his coat pocket.

/snip/

"Screening of passengers at Washington Dulles airport is the responsibility of the Transportation Security Administration."

The TSA and the United States Department of Homeland Security were not available for comment.

/snip/- - - no comment - gee - I wonder why ?!!!!

"Obviously there will be a lot of questions asked in America as to how he got on the plane undetected."

This should get interesting !!

1. Let me guess
I'd bet this passenger wasn't 'swarthy'. In fact, I'd say there is a good chance he's blonde.

Just a guess. Let me know if I'm wrong.

6. Maybe you're right
but none of the Sudanese I've known have been blond.

3. Well, considering
that I managed to get an exacto knife on a plane in my carry on luggage from Dulles Airport (I forgot it was there, so please don't arrest me), I'm not suprised. I also got it through coming back also (I had no idea where my wife packed everything, honest). They seemed to be more worried about customs and if I was hiding any tainted beef.

7. That's funny
last time I flew into the country (last week) they were more interested in knives than in tainted beef. I guess that's why they missed that roast beef sandwich I had in the shopping bag I was holding. Homeland Security is a sad joke.
