No regrets for Rudy as he skips Iowa caucuses ("On Sept. 11, I was worried")
Source: Newsday

BEDFORD, N.H. - Before finishing sixth in Iowa and possibly losing more steam here in New Hampshire ahead of next week's primary, Rudy Giuliani said yesterday morning he has no regrets about largely skipping the Iowa caucuses and focusing his attention on delegate-rich states such as Florida and New York.

"This is the strategy that we selected pretty close to day one," he told reporters gathered at the Segway manufacturing plant here. "No insult to Iowa at all, but we see this as a different kind of election, a different primary election."

The former New York City mayor said he's not concerned about his recent slides in polls here and in Florida, where he later campaigned in the afternoon.

"On Sept. 11, I was worried," he said. "The way I approach politics, you don't worry about these things; you deal with them. We are behind in several of the early states. We're still ahead in many more states than any other candidate. I think we're ahead in something like 16 or 18 states. My closest competitor is ahead in four states."

2. He would save a lot of time if he'd just start yelling "Boo!" to scare people.

6. What was that statement Biden made?
Something about Giuliani's sentences having a noun, a verb, and "9/11"?

20. Did you hear his interview last night, I think it was on MSNBC
(or maybe not, I was sick in bed and half asleep, but I know I heard him somewhere). You could hear him him hesitate and try NOT to say "9/11," and he kept coming up with things like "trying times" and "difficult problems." It made me laugh--I bet he dreams about 9/11.

11. Wolf! Wolf!
I was absolutely sure this had to be a joke.

But it's not.
