World Bank ready to fund Kibaki's reforms
Yes, we're impressed by what's happened so far, says buoyant donor chief

WASHINGTON AKUMU

Fulsome praise came yesterday for the new Government's ambitious reforms – from one of the key people controlling the donor aid purse strings.

And World Bank president James Wolfensohn coupled his congratulations with a firm commitment that full funding will soon resume.

Already the World Bank is backing free primary education and the fight against HIV/Aids.
