US winter storm heads north-east

A severe winter storm blamed for dozens of deaths in the central US has moved north-east, blanketing several more states in sleet and snow.
Up to 1ft (30cm) of snow fell in areas of Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts, clogging roads and forcing businesses to close.

2. It was certainly an interesting commute in New England yesterday afternoon.

afternoon: even though he left work at 2:00, it took Mr. Tesha
4-1/2 hours to make his normally-45-minute journey home.

And he was one of the lucky ones! His coworkers reported times
up to seven hours!

But today it's been sunny, at least off-and-on.
