Gunmen Attack Bhutto Party Office

QUETTA, Pakistan (AP) - Gunmen attacked a party
office of opposition leader Benazir Bhutto in
southwestern Pakistan on Saturday, killing three of
her supporters ahead of parliamentary elections,
police said.

The attack occurred in Naseerabad, about 150 miles
east of Quetta, the capital of Baluchistan province,
said Wajid Akbar, the district police chief. Police
had no immediate information about the motive for
the attack or who was behind it, he said.

Killings and other violence have been common in
past elections in Pakistan, where Bhutto and others
are now campaigning for parliamentary elections
scheduled for Jan. 8.
