BAGHDAD - Insurgents killed an American soldier in a roadside bomb
attack near the restive Iraqi city of Baquba, the US military said on
Saturday.

The soldier was killed on Friday when the bomb struck his convoy
during a patrol in city north of Baghdad.

The latest fatality brought the military’s overall losses in Iraq to at
least 37 in November and to 3,880 since the March 2003 invasion,
according to an AFP count based on Pentagon figures.
