Democratic Candidates Look Good
Source: Gallup-November 26, 2007

A new Gallup Poll finds Sen. Hillary Clinton with a slim......... advantage over both former Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Sen. John McCain in head-to-head matchups for the 2008 general election for president. Clinton has much more substantial leads over former Sen. Fred Thompson and former Gov. Mitt Romney.

Sen. Barack Obama also has significant leads over Thompson and Romney, but essentially ties with Giuliani and McCain.

This is to dispute the poll posted by Zogby.

1. K&R, not to make a political point, but because I think the jury's still out...
on Zogby's "interactive" polling.

2. The Zogby polling is bogus. Why? As I posted last
evening I contacted 53 of my friends nationwide and asked them one question. Did you receive the Zogby polling questionaire in their email? Of the 53 friends only 5 said they received the zogby polling email. I did not receive it either. That is why I believe this to be a bogus poll. In their polling questions they ask are you a Democrat. Ask are you a strong Democrat. Several other questions relating to voting etc. What I think happened is they front loaded this with republicans and right leaning independents, and you have these polling results.

I do see that the abc polling in their new polling has obama by 1% point, but my contempt for that poll was out of 12 polls only 1 the abc poll showed HRC in the lead in Iowa. You would think from all the media coverage of this 1 abc poll obama had iowa locked up. All other polling was done during this same time frame and the polls at cnn, fox, msnbc, nbc, cbs all showed HRC in the lead, but you would not know it because all the networks were using that one poll.( and many in here believe the msm is pro HRC ).

One only has to go back to the next to last debate and see all the negative coverage of HRC. During this it was all negative and even after the cnn debate HRC received at least 3 days of positive news but then came the polling and HRC was leading from 2 to 10 points, and then the abc poll came out and all last week even the msm lead with the abc poll and disregarded their own polling which was different. Now you have this zogby interactive poll from zogby international and odds are the msm will again use this instead of their own polling. Mediawhores?

3. I know more about this method from reading the second wave of coverage...
of Zogby's interactive poll -- and it looks like there's pretty widespread agreement that the method is inferior to the method other pollsters use (and, I believe, Zogby himself also uses, in addition to online polls).

4. Zogby had Kerry winning as well
I don't see it as bad or good-it's just a poll amoung polls, to be taken with a whole shaker of salt if you know what I mean.
