20,000 vets' brain injuries not listed in Pentagon tally
Source: USA Today

At least 20,000 U.S. troops who were not classified as wounded during combat in Iraq and Afghanistan have been found with signs of brain injuries, according to military and veterans records compiled by USA TODAY.

The data, provided by the Army, Navy and Department of Veterans Affairs, show that about five times as many troops sustained brain trauma as the 4,471 officially listed by the Pentagon through Sept. 30. These cases also are not reflected in the Pentagon's official tally of wounded, which stands at 30,327.

The number of brain-injury cases were tabulated from records kept by the VA and four military bases that house units that have served multiple combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.

One base released its count of brain injuries at a medical conference. The others provided their records at the request of USA TODAY, in some cases only after a Freedom of Information Act filing was submitted.

1. Not surprising at all. Maybe they will be some of the lucky
few to get a measly $108.00/mo from the government for their disability.:sarcasm:

5. The Disposable Military
The reality is that while demanding total support for the troops and the war, the Fuhrer himself doesn't give a damn about the troops once they leave the battlefield. And Congress doesn't seem to give a damn either. The attitude really is that they should just complete their tour of duty and then manage to get shot. Body bags are cheaper, after all, than taking care of wounded bodies. And minds.

That would allow a draft. And a disposable military. Eugenics by war indeed. Just send the undesireables off to defend the oil reserves.

Bush has not only corrupted our country, he has managed to corrupt its very soul.

The Pentagon lies. But you know what? So does Congress. Bush and Cheney and the rest of the Nazis are not the only ones who need to go.
