Afghan suicide attack kills seven

A suicide bomb attack, targeting an Afghan provincial
governor, has killed his son and six of his bodyguards.

The governor of the south-western Nimroz province,
Ghulam Dastageer, was on his way to his office when
he was attacked. He escaped unhurt.

At least 14 people were injured in the attack, including
several civilians.

Violence, often blamed on Taleban militants, has been
rising in Afghanistan recently although Nimroz has been
relatively peaceful.

1. More and more violence in Afghanistan....
of course the Bush department of war is trumpeting the supposed "55% decrease in violence in Baghdad" but I'd be interested to know the percentage INCREASE of violence in Afghanistan?

Like everyone else who sees through the thin veil of Bush's "surge" in Iraq, I'm quite sure the game of "insurgent whack-a-mole" has seen a marked increase of violence in Afghanistan.

This is all about Bush's legacy now. They want to media to concentrate on some imaginary "victory" in Iraq and ignore the increase of violence elsewhere.

Bush's legacy is, and will remain, shit. Forever.
