Australians given mid-air toilet advice
the http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/3376459.stm

"Qantas airline said on Wednesday that it would comply with the demand, issued by the US Transport and Security Administration (TSA), just before Christmas, that passengers are asked not to congregate near the planes' toilets."

You can't make this stuff up. "Australia's Deputy Prime Minister and Transport Secretary, John Anderson, said he was 'surprised' by the directive, which he described as 'a little bit hard to handle'."

"He said it was up to flight crews to distinguish between 'politely waiting for the toilet' and huddling."

Nothing I could add would be as funny as this.

15. Wouldn't the test be
that it can be stored under the seat in front of you. Of course it may make you ineligible to sit in the row with the emergency doors as you may not be prepared to assist the crew in the unlikely event of an emergency.

I think the real problem may be the inability to place the snack tray in the locked and upright position if the tubing to the bag doesn't reach the floor, not to mention if their is a change in the cabin pressure those funny masks will descend upon your head and their is the possibility of blowing into the wrong tube.

Don't even get me started with the problems with the seat buckles.

you'll be able to buy them for $9.99 each in the airport bookstore. It could start a whole new niche!

10. As if we weren't already
the laughing-stock of the world, now this. I'd hate to be a pregnant woman on one of those flights. As it is, I'm a 60 year old woman with a bladder that aint what it used to be, and I'm sure as hell not the only one.

It strikes me as a little weird that with all his macho, codstuffing, swaggering, belligerence, Whistleass is turning this country into a bunch of scared, sissy, hysterical, nut-cases.

Other countries have lived with threats and terrorist attacks, and we must be the most hysterical of all. It really makes Dubya and his administration come off as cowardly and scared of their own shadows.

14. We are so compliant
The latest information on this gem is that Qantas is instructing its flight attendants on how to use to the equipment in aircraft to ensure passenger compliance. The really sad thing about it is that it is being treated seriously here, just another example of how well we will comply when our masters instruct us.
