(Rasmussen Poll) About One-Third Want Cheney Impeached (29% are not sure)

Should Vice President Dick Cheney be impeached and removed from office? Almost one-third of Americans in a new poll say "yes."

A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey also found that 40 percent of Americans disagree and 29 percent are not sure.

Fifty-one percent of Democrats said Cheney should be impeached and 22 percent disagreed. Eight percent of Republicans and 30 percent of unaffiliated voters favored impeachment of the vice president, Rasmussen said.

the guys already on his way out, and he isnt in control of the senate like he was pre-06. Its better to make him irrelevant while in office, than relevant out of it

7. The one thing most people think of when you mention Cheney

is him shooting that guy in the face. The vast majority of people have no idea he committed treason.

5. IMO, they're asking the wrong question- not should Cheney be impeached/removed from office...

but the better poll question would be:
"Should the Congress hold impeachment hearings/investigations to determine whether Cheney should be removed from office".

That's a significantly different question.

I bet if they asked that question, many of the "not sure's" would say "yes".

Still, only 40% said "no".

So that 29% of "distracted" want to see the evidence exposed publicly before they'll join the 31% who already know.

... their polls are always skewed in favor of Republicans. The real numbers are undoubtedly higher.
