Portal Lets Government Workers And Partners Share Intelligence About Terrorism

Terrorist Threat Integration Center directoor John Brennan says the portal is being updated to offer different levels of content to users with different security classifications.

More than 2,000 government workers and their private-sector business partners with need-to-know security clearance have access to a Web portal that lets them share intelligence information to combat terrorism, the director of the Terrorist Threat Integration Center told a Congressional hearing.

TTIC director John Brennan told a joint hearing of the House Homeland Security and Judiciary committees on Tuesday that the portal is being updated to include expanded need-to-know access with rich content available at varying classification levels, from top secret to sensitive-but-unclassified. The portal lets users search for information across disparate data sets in many different ways. The Web site increasingly will include products tailored for the needs of not only federal officials, but authorized state and local government officials as well as those in private industry, Brennan said.
