3. That's rich coming from a country greatly enriched by oil sales
"Hey, look at all those green buildings we built over there! Pay no attention to all that polluting oil we sell to finance their construction!"

4. Yeah, but there is that popular Arab saying:
"My grandfather rode a camel.

My father drove an automobile.

I fly a jet.

My son will ride a camel".

12. I don't know if I'd classify what one rich Saudi Royal fuck says as a "popular Arab saying."

7. VERY, water is from desalinization plants that use the excess heat from power plants to clean water
As the ice melts, all of the water is used to completely irrigate the landscape.

The dome itself is a highly efficient cooling system...

But anyway... it's just a stupid tourist attraction :)

It is 'pretty' green though...

11. Is this a f_king joke?!?!
Seriously, that kind of climate simply should not have people living first-world lifestyles. I mean, for crying out loud, the Gulf oil emirates have the highest per capita carbon emissions in the whole world!!! That place has no resources other than pumping oil, and so Dubai mandating green buildings is like Paris Hilton promising to have 10% fewer blowjobs. If they really want to be sustainable, then they should go back to riding camels, like the above said. Not to mention the horrible ways they treat their Indian and Pakistani construction workers.

13. Mabrook! Shk. Mo
for making Dubai the most dynamic city in the Middle East. He is by far my favorite Sheikh/Ruler, those who underestimates him are only playing themselves.

Too bad our leaders are not forward thinkers.:eyes:
