1. A 7-9 point margin of error?
Why even bother at that point?

2. You're right about that!
Any poll taken from now until the primaries start are useless. They are just media tools trying to influence the voting public for their corporate masters. It's all airtime, baby. Tim Russert is an asshole!

that's what's turned me off to Obama for months now - the attitude of some of his supporters. Can't just be gracious at good news for your guy, gotta slime the other candidates while doing so.

Does Obama no good.

6. wow.
the republicans are divided as hell. Guess they've forgotten how to have a primary where the front runner is not preordained.

8. Good, I really don't like Hillary's idea of mandatory health insurance,
Edited on Sun Sep-30-07 10:42 AM by grahamhgreen
like car insurance.

It's like having to pay taxes to private companies, who are unanswerable to us, and who will just screw you out of your benefits when you need them most (when you become a financial burdon to the companies bottom line - ie, you're sick).

Oh yeah, not to mention that she said during the debates that she will keep us in Iraq until 2013.

15. Good points!
but she lost any "iota" of a chance I'd vote for her in the primaries when she voted YAY on Benedict LIEberman's ammendment!!! Gravel had the guts to call her on it. "SHAME ON YOU HILLARY"!!! Nope, can't abide that vote!!!

10. We keep getting asked to go into Iowa and haven't made it over there yet.
One of Obama's campaign guys is somebody we worked with pretty closely last year on a State Senate race and he's become a friend. We went through the wars (and back again!) with him in that campaign. This guy has BTDT and has the t-shirts (along with scars) to prove it. I was kinda bummed when Zach told me he was going to a Presidential campaign--until he told me who he was working for.

Every time I see Zach, after he hugs me, he asks me when we're gonna come to Iowa and work for Obama. I keep telling him I want to go, but it will have to be after Mid-October when life settles down a bit. Seeing this kind of polling data makes me start itching to get there!

13. Is it a case of people shifting from Edwards to one or the other of the
(apparent) front runners? I can see someone saying, well, I like Edwards but I want to make sure Y doesn't get it, so I'm going with X.

16. But, but the ConMedia says it's HC all the way
This must be some kind of mistake. :sarcasm:

Everyone knows that GOBAMA doesn't stand a chance.

I just got an email from his campaign to donation some more $$$'s-- they are raising money like crazy.

Guess they didn't get the message that he doesn't have a chance.

Got to GO now to give GObama some more of my money. :bounce:

ARG Iowa poll: Clinton 30%, Obama 24%, Edwards 19%

http://americanresearchgroup.com/pres08/iadem8-710.html

Not too much of a change from previous results, though it seems to confirm that Obama and Clinton have surged past Edwards.

Sample Size: 600 completed telephone interviews among a random sample of likely Democratic caucus goers living in Iowa (496 Democrats and 104 no party (independent) voters).

Sample Dates: September 26-29, 2007

Margin of Error: ± 4 percentage points, 95% of the time, on questions where opinion is evenly split.

20. Newsweek poll-surely you jest...Factually
it is wrong and here tis the reason I believe. If you take into account the overall numbers -- not specifically among voters who say they're "likely" to go to the caucuses -- are more favorable to HRC. The poll also suggests that HRC's supporters may be more solidly in her camp than are backers of Obama and Edwards, with a larger proportion of HRC voters characterizing their support as "strong."

Hey, I give Obama credit. He can at least say he has one poll where he leads HRC....
