Giuliani In Britain Vows To Thwart Iran
Source: Associated Press

(09-19) 09:50 PDT LONDON, United Kingdom (AP) --

Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani met with Britain's prime minister Wednesday and vowed the U.S. would take any action necessary to keep Iran from becoming a nuclear power.

--
He said he discussed Iran with Brown and was "very, very much heartened by how seriously he sees it." He insisted Iran would not be allowed to become a nuclear power soon.

"We will use any options we believe is in our best interest to stop them becoming a nuclear power. With the absolute assurance that if they get to the point that they are going to become a nuclear power, we will prevent that or set them back five or 10 years. That is not said as a threat. That should be said as a promise," he said.

Giuliani's moderate stances on gun control, abortion and gay rights have put him at odds with many U.S. conservatives and religious leaders. But several world leaders have sought his opinions on security in the wake of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, when he was mayor of New York.

12. There are plenty of swing-voting sheep who WOULD consider voting for Ghouliani
That's the sobering thing about his dangerous candidacy. Because a few of his views are very un-Repuke-like, (Pro-choice, pro-gay rights etc.) many independents will consider him "different" than your basic, generic Repuke and will think about voting for him.

We need our best possible candidate to go up against him if he's the dark side's nominee. In other words, NOT HILLARY!!!!!!!!

5. He's preaching to the choir. the EU is against Iran building on the nuketechnology
they already have started. Iran will have nuclear power and have sworn to use it only to generate electricity...
I wonder why the EU is against the mullahs obtaining the nuclear ring of fire while the Russians are for nuke power in Iran ? lol ;)

16. Rudy Giuliani campaigns with Brown and Blair
So, when do we get Barak Obama?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/09/20/wrudy120.xml

Rudy Giuliani scored a coup in his White House campaign yesterday by meeting Gordon Brown at No 10, conferring with Tony Blair, receiving an award from Baroness Thatcher and wrapping himself in the legacy of Winston Churchill.

The unprecedented feat of staging a show of genuine closeness to four British prime ministers – three of whom evoke degrees of veneration in America – placed the former New York mayor firmly on the global stage and cemented his claim to be a world leader.

Linking the September 11 attacks on America to the July 7 attacks in London – when Mr Giuliani happened to be in the British capital – and the Blitz, he hailed the transatlantic relationship as a force of history.

"It's now such a strong relationship that it's going to endure whatever we have to endure to overcome Islamic terrorism, which we have both suffered from," Mr Giulani said, highlighting personal bonds beginning with Sir Winston and President Franklin Roosevelt and continuing up to Mr Blair and President George W Bush.
