Blast hits Christian suburb in Beirut

BEIRUT, Lebanon—An explosion rocked a Christian suburb east of the Lebanese capital Wednesday, but the cause was not immediately known, a senior Lebanese security official said.
It was not known if there were any casualties.

The official, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk to the media, said the explosion occurred in the Sin el-Fil district.

BEIRUT, Sept 19 (Reuters) - A car bomb exploded in the Christian eastern part of Beirut on Wednesday killing at least two people, a security source said, and it may have targeted a politician.
