Bush to Address Nation on Iraq

ABC News' Sara Just reports: The President is asking the television news networks for time to make a speech to the nation at 9 pm on Thursday night.

The speech will be 15-20 minutes. He will be speaking alone from the White House.

He will "incorporate and respond to testimony" from Army General David Patraeus and Ambassador to Iraq Ryan Crocker" on the way forward in Iraq.

I know that won't happen, but he has nothing new to say, everyone knows they have to reduce troop strength my mid-2008 because the military can't sustain those numbers in Iraq, we will only be back to pre-surge troop numbers so what's the big deal, and there is no policy change. Why give him the tv time? He just trying to fool the American people with his BS. Then again the WH speeches always bomb and he always looks like a fool staring at the camera with deer-in-the- headlights eyes, so maybe the more people that watch the better.
