GOP leaders ask ethics probe of Craig
Source: AP

WASHINGTON - Senate Republican leaders called for an ethics committee review Tuesday into Idaho Sen. Larry Craig's guilty plea in a police sting operation this summer in an airport men's room.

Republican leaders also are "examining other aspects of the case to see if additional action is required," Sen. Mitch McConnell and other top GOP lawmakers said in a written statement.

They released the statement shortly before Craig's scheduled appearance before television cameras in Boise, his first public comments since confirming his guilty plea to a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct.

2. Guess persecuting their own gay senators is good politics.
I'm actually not surprised. Disgusted, yes. But not surprised.

6. I am sure they will say kill the teller of tales. Heck GOP are
still after the person that told the NYT that the DOJ was wire tapping. I must say that I am shocked. Not much does that to me any more but this one has.

10. I think they need to investigate the Idaho Statesman for persecuting him.
He says that this whole business is the result of something the Idaho Statesman did. We shouldn't let newspapers even think about writing bad things about Republicans. It upsets them so.

7. I noticed that there was talk of "purging the party" and "long knives"
from the usual Republican plants on freerepublic today, like Buckhead.

It looks like the Republicans, in desperation, are going to start tossing the unruly in their midst overboard, in an effort to regain the "moral values" high ground. I wonder how many will be left to run the ship when the purges are done?

lol!

9. What, they're gonna take turns probing him in the ethics?
I don't think I've ever heard it called an "ethics" before, but I think I finally figured out what Republicans are talking about when they refer to "ethics violations."
