China fear over 'tainted' US soya
Source: BBC

China has accused some United States exporters of supplying tainted soya bean crops.

Chinese officials said potentially harmful "weeds and contaminated dirt" had been found in the beans, but made no mention of any import restrictions.

...
US soya bean exporters said China was trying to "balance things out".

...
Phillip Laney of the American Soybean Association told the Reuters news agency: " are just scrambling around to find some quality problems from shipments from the US to balance the thing out."

4. It just means that China's Totalitarians are lying like Bushies, as they scramble for anything
to discredit Imperial Amerikan products in the same way as their actual quality deficiencies have discredited their own products.

Now, please don't misunderstand me, I think that tyhe Bushies and the Chinese Commies are very much alike...Totalitarian Tyrants and inveterate liars all.

But in this case, I think the Loyal Bushie Liar is correct about his Loyal Commie Lying Counterpart.

3. Mr. Laney is exactly right
China has to reinvent reality in consumers' minds so it is not the Chinese products that are absurdly unsafe and substandard, but that products from the US have the same issues.

It won't work.

5. But it is, in fact, indistinguishable from the Bushevik strategy and method
to do the same things the Amerikan Subjecst and the rest of the world.

Not that I am condoning it, just pointing out that the responses to similar situations between Bushies and Chinese Commies is now indistinguishable...a literal rewriting of reality for their captive peoples that is less effective outside the ensalved nation in question.

6. As far as I'm aware
GM soya isn't allowed into the UK for human consumption at all.

9. OMG!... there are weeds in my soya!
Just one more thing to worry about, after I figure out how to get rid of the formaldehyde in my PJ's, the lead from my bib, and the ethylene-glycol in my toothpaste.

But as alluded to in other posts here, it does seem that the Chinese have learned a thing or two from the Bushies. When guilty of wrongdoing, just place blame with everyone else. Ummm... ugghhh... well the French and UN thought Iraq had WMD's too!

BTW, what the hell is a harmful weed? I've plucked thousands of those things over the years and was never harmed by any of them. Maybe I just have one of them super-human immune systems or somethin'.

11. Sooner or later one country is going to "discover" an entire shipment of foodstuffs that...
actually consists purely of aborted fetuses. It will lead to the most grotty news cycle ever.
