Ill guest of former President Bush is taken from Maine retreat
Source: Longview (TX) News Journal

Paramedics were called to the Maine seaside vacation home of former President Bush and his wife, Barbara, on Tuesday after one of the couple's houseguests became ill.

Kristan King, a spokeswoman for Barbara Bush, said that the guest was taken to a hospital and that no other details would be released.

"President and Mrs. Bush are both fine. It was not one of them," King told The Associated Press from Kennebunkport. "It was one of their houseguests here staying with them."

12. Yes, Jeff is the official George AWOL Bush male escort
who visited the George AWOL Bush White House over 200 times

Not the official Poppy Bush male escort

So I am glad you are not going to bring Jeff Gannon's name up

20. nah -- all they need to do is buy the stuff that isn't fresh
seafood goes bad pretty quickly. And she of course wouldn't want to pay full price to the locals for fresh caught.

14. I'm sure that George and Barbara will play golf, rather than go to the funeral.
Edited on Wed Aug-22-07 07:25 AM by IanDB1
Just like they did when their daughter died.

But it's sad when rich people die. Because rich people don't go to Heaven.

"It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God."
Rich people don't go to heaven. (Mat 19:23-24)

Also:

George Herbert Walker Bush and his wife Barbara had three young children (George W., age 6, Robin, age 3, and Jeb, a newborn) at the time that their middle child, Pauline Robinson Bush whom the family called Robin, was diagnosed with leukemia. Robin was named for Barbaras mother who had been killed in a car accident (in which her husband was driving), just three months before Robin was born. The parents never told George that she was ill, though they did instruct him to stop playing with her, his major playmate, because she was becoming more frail. During Robins illness, both parents spent a lot of time away from their home in Midland, Texas, taking her to Memorial Sloan Kettering hospital in New York, where Georges uncle, was a doctor. Robin was given treatments there and her parents stayed in the uncles apartment. Tragically, despite the intense treatment, Robin died two months before her fourth birthday. During her illness, George W. and Jeb, as often happens with siblings when parents must take care of one child who is very ill, were left home to be cared for by neighbors and extended family (Kelley, 131).

George and Barbara decided not to have a funeral for their daughter, and reportedly spent the day after her death on the golf course in Greenwich, CT. The paternal grandmother, Dorothy Bush, and Georges close friend Lud Ashley, arranged and buried Robin in the familys plot in Greenwich, Connecticut. George and Barbara, did not attend the burial, just as Barbara had failed to attend her own mothers funeral three months before Robin had been born. In fact, they did not even speak with young George about her illness and death, a fact which caused him to feel cheated of the chance to grieve his sister, to whom he had felt very close. His relatives recall that he was very upset and experienced nightmares and tearfulness following her death (Kelley, 142). Interestingly, in 2000, when George W. Bush was 54 years old, he had his sister moved to the same place where his parents plan to be buried in Texas.

16. I don't think this was a murder attempt,. Perhaps a warning poisoning.
I don't really think you can poison enemies at your own house like Caligula used to, and I'll bet Poppy and Babs are really miffed about that, so that he could watch their death agonies.

But forensics and modern communications, no I don't believe it is YET possible for the Royal Bushies to behave publicly like Borgias.

As I said, it may be a warning.

Or it could be a legitimate illness and there's nothing to it besides some person (who's identity is clearly being shielded) got sick.

19. UPDATE: Friend of Bush Died at Walker's Point
Former President George Bush released a statement a few minutes ago saying that "his beloved friend John C. Lansing, the husband of his first cousin, Shelley Bush Jansing, died at Walker's Point Tuesday evening of a massive heart attack."
The Jansings were visiting the Bushes, when Mr. Jansing was stricken at the Bushes' Kennebunkport residence.
He was transfered to Southern Maine Medical Center, where personnel worked tirelessly to revive his friend to no avail, Bush said.

I know it's terrible, but I have a hard time believing that anyone dies of natural causes where the Bushes are involved. The last 7 years have made me very cynical.

31. It was Senior's cousin's HUSBAND, fachrissake. An old man.
I never heard his name before I saw it on NESN today. He wasn't political.

I have my cousins over all the time--and they cover the spectrum in terms of income.

FWIW, Walker's Point isn't a mansion. It's a beach house with a few additions. What makes it valuable is the LAND it's on.

:sarcasm:

W's cousin (H.W.'s nephew) was the cinematographer for Michael Moore's film "Roger and Me" and produced a film compilation of U.S. nuclear war propaganda footage ("The Atomic Cafe") but because he's a blood relative of the Bushes, I guess we should just assume that he's a Big Bad Repuke.
