BAGHDAD: first" approach to security, but some see the effort as a throwback to the inefficiencies under Saddam Hussein.

Iraqi and U.S. officials think Iraq's ailing economy could get a kick-start from U.S. consumers interested in giving Iraqi-made clothes as Christmas presents.

"We are hoping if everything goes well, by Thanksgiving and Christmas we will have from the Mosul factory teenage clothing, and from the Najaf factory ready-made suits, and from the leather industries here, leather jackets, and so on," Sami al-Araji, the deputy industry minister, said Sunday during the announcement of a plan to put state industries back to work.

Araji said a U.S. team led by Paul Brinkley, the deputy under secretary of defense for business transformation in Iraq, was in discussions with major U.S. retailers like Sears, Wal-Mart and J. C. Penney to have the clothing on sale in some major cities by the holiday season.

4. Yup.
Some new Carlyle enterprise will enslave refugee Iraqis to make shit goods for American boneheads to buy to bring the war under their tree.

How cute.

:puke:

7. Are these items made by Iraqi citizens and are these same citizens
getting all the money personally? I'd have to be sure of both before I bought a dime's worth. The US corporations have bled that poor country dry.

9. News Update: New Marketing This Christmas for Iraq

In order to give a further jump start to Iraqi and U.S. officials think Iraq's ailing economy could get a kick-start from U.S. consumers interested in giving terrorist-style clothes pieces of apparel as Christmas presents.

For example:

The "Allah is Great" is an off-the-shoulder suicide bomb carry all. This stylish piece of clothing is light, portable, designed by Armani and can carry twenty kilos of lethal c-4 to blast those infidels to the neither hells. Designed for the female suicide bomber in mind the designers motto is "Why sacrifice femininity for firepower?" Comes in six different colors.

The "IED lite" A colorful, but lethal combination of portability and extreme kill power, the lite is being marketing to that NRA enthusiast that has "A mans home is his castle" foremost in his mind.

"We are hoping if everything goes well, by Thanksgiving and Christmas we will have from the Mosul factory teenage kevlar clothing, and from the Najaf factory ready-made suits and sniper togs, and from the leather industries here, leather jackets, bomb satchels and so on," Sami al-Araji, the deputy industry minister, said Sunday during the announcement of a plan to put state industries back to work.

"And frankly, considering the nature of your president's last executive order concerning his usurping of total power in an "emergency", you might even find practical uses for our clothing, too.

Araji said a U.S. team led by Paul Brinkley, the deputy under secretary of defense for business transformation in Iraq, was in discussions with major U.S. retailers like Sears, Wal-Mart and J. C. Penney to have the clothing on sale in some major cities by the holiday season.

11. I think the Euro fashion industry tried that two years ago
with the models sauntering down the catwalks in 'dark fashion'

Don't think the idea flew off the retail shelves.

17. wow, reads like a regular J. Petterman ad. LOL
The night was quiet as I made my way through the darkened streets of Baghdad. I knew I was in violation of the curfew, but I had to just see my love one one last time. Suddenly out of the corner of my eye I spotted an American patrol, I swung into action! I dug through my J. Petterman off the shoulder carry all and produced my falsified travel documents.

Thank you J. Petterman!
