Mugabe approves surveillance law
Source: BBC

Zimbabwe's President Robert Mugabe has approved a new law allowing the security services to intercept postal, internet and telephone communications.

The law also establishes a state-run communications monitoring centre.

Officials say the new law is meant to provide security and prevent crime but critics say it is aimed at stifling opposition to Mr Mugabe.

6. sounds like a middle eastern nation or even North Korea
where web access is firmly controlled or outright denied. I can't believe those people in Zimbabwe survive with inflation rates of 1,000% annually.

10. Now that is exactly what the Dems should be stating OVER and OVER again
and should have been saying for some time now....the draconian legislation is more akin to legislation used by tyrannical dictators to keep their populations under control.
