Vick co-defendant pleads guilty, will cooperate
Source: CNN.com

Tony Taylor, 34, of Hampton, Virginia, entered the guilty plea in U.S. District Court in Richmond. He will be sentenced December 14.

Taylor, along with Vick and two other co-defendants, had pleaded not guilty Thursday before U.S. District Judge Henry E. Hudson.

In changing his plea to guilty, Taylor waived his right to appeal. He told the judge that he understands he is now a convicted felon.

It is widely believed that Taylor's plea, which had been expected, and his future cooperation could hurt Vick and help the government prove its case against the Atlanta Falcons' star quarterback.

Once again supporting the prosecutorial advice that the first deal is the best deal. Will see if others fall in line.

2. If he's guilty I hope he doesn't get away with it. And no loopholes either!

3. I was watching Sports Reporters on ESPN,
by accident really, an the consensus of these blowhards was that Vick would play again for some other team, citing the example of others NFL players who have beaten various charges, even murder (I think they were referring to Baltimore Ravens linebacker). Methinks they seriously misread the white hot nerve he hit with dog fighting. If he killed somebody in cold blood with ten witnesses, he's have a better chance of moving on with his life. Even people who don't like dogs understand the sinister nature of dog fighting. People won't forget. And with cohorts' pleas, let me be the first (or one of the first) to predict Vick will never set foot again on an NFL filed. Even high pricved lawyers will have a hard time with this one.

4. It's not only the dog fighting,
Edited on Mon Jul-30-07 01:37 PM by BonnieJW
it's the brutal and really inhuman manner in which dogs were killed by Vick and his "friends." You would have to be lower than pond scum to do the things to an animal that these creatures did.

5. How much time did Vick, who works in Atlanta, spend at "his" house in Virginia?
Has anyone heard any FACTS about this aspect of the charges against Vick?

Is it POSSIBLE the house was "his" in name only? Did Vick's relatives force him to help his evidently idiotic cousin by giving him a place to stay in a speculative "investment" property? Where do Vick's closest relatives live?

IMO sometimes DU is almost as bad as cable "news". I see all the threadson this topic, but there are very few FACTS in them.

You'll note there are witnesses to Vick's participation.

9. Facts? We dont need no stinking facts!
I am sure we will all find there is nothing to this story.

And * will recognized as the greatest president in history.

Just think of all his money and this is one way he spends his free time. I guess he thought he was giving back to the community! Gotta be a small brain in that head.

And thats my OPINION of the whole mess.
