McCain snaps: ‘Finished’ discussing campaign
Source: CNN

WASHINGTON (CNN) — A frustrated Sen. John McCain snapped Wednesday when asked by CNN about his troubled presidential campaign and vowed he would no longer answer questions on that topic.

“I’m not going to talk about my campaign anymore,” McCain said in a sharp tone. “I’m finished with talking about it. I’ve talked about it for two weeks. I will not discuss it or any aspect of it. Thank you.”

McCain’s patience may have been worn thin by his lack of sleep as he managed the Defense authorization bill through the wee hours of the morning.

8. saw this yesterday, so this is at least 24 hours old. McCain is finished
end of story.
He pimped at an extremist conference for Armageddon (no shit, the people he spoke to want to bomb, bomb bomb Iran so Jesus will come back) this week (will post on that soon), but let's just hope that is his last desperate plea for support.

That flushing sound is the sound of America rejecting his politics of supporting military terror.

35. He's trying to go back to earlier days
when his poll numbers were higher when there was speculation he was going to "launch" a campaign.

Now that his campaign has sunk he wants to go back to his pre-launch days/numbers when he had some joementum.

15. Stick a fork in him. The McCain pot roast is done.
Stewed in his own juices.

Seriously. Imagine the bizarre concept of the voting public rejecting someone who completely endorses a president with a less than 35% approval rating. Who'd a thunk it?

20. If only....
What would he like to talk about? He has no new material.

He may not want to talk about his campaign, but since his campaign seems to revolve around "Support the Troops. Keep them in Iraq.", no one wants to hear that, either.

Guess there's nothing left for him to do but take his ball and go home.

22. So, John, does that mean you're done?
If you're running for president, how can you NOT talk about your campaign? I'm trying to understand you here, man. I really am.

And if he can't tolerate a simple interview because his job as a senator wears him out, then really, no, he shouldn't think of himself as presidential material.

23. Too bad
See that's just part of campaigning for president. People expect you to discuss your campaign for some silly reason. Especially when said campaign is either tanking or flourishing. Just because McCain's happens to be doing the former rather than the latter isn't CNNs problem. Besides, if anyone should know how to handle a presidential campaign that's taking a nose dive it should be McCain.

25. The old fart should stop and think about something. bush** has
cost him two elections. First, they lied about McCain, his wife, his kid, everything, and make him lost the nomination in 2000. NOW, sticking with his 'buddy' george has lost him this one. And bush** hasn't even tried to pay him back for all John's loving support during the last couple of years.

I think this whole thing is hilarious. And one more thing, we already have a loser who can't stay up past 9:00 p.m. Don't need a tired old man.

26. Finished?
His campaign is finished. His presidential aspirations are finished. The money has dried up. He has no staff. Go back to the Senate for as long as the voters of Arizona will put up with your presence, John.

39. I wish he would quit. It's really sad.
It's too late to back out gracefully, and he's just becoming more and more an object of ridicule.

Doesn't this man have ANY friends or anyone who actually cares enough to face reality and make the hard decisions here?
All I see is a delusional '...think I can, I think I can..." rock'n'roll fantasy being played out in the political arena.

Seen too many of those in real life to find that amusing anymore...
especially after falling afoul of someone experiencing this.

NOT fun.
