through it?
One guess: A second theater of war, South America, specifically to overthrow the Andes democracies (Venezuela, Bolivia, Ecuador) and regain puppet dictator control of the oil, gas, minerals, forests, fresh water and other rich natural resources of the region. A return of torture, mass slaughter of peasants and leftists, and brutal thievery and oppression. Blackwater, Titan and CACCI mercenaries are to be watched in this regard as well. These are the sorts of people he wants to "attract to public service"--people who know how to kill, and/or who are utterly callous to the methods of the dark lords.
I think Rumsfeld is even more evil and more guilty than Bush, Cheney and Rove, on the full range of their worst crimes, including torturing prisoners for profit and to cover the tracks of their other crimes, 9/11 (MIHOP), the full story on Traitorgate (which I think includes the murder of British WMD expert David Kelley, and a foiled Bushite plot to plant WMDs in Iraq after the invasion), the quite deliberate creation of chaos and civil war in Iraq for war profiteering purposes, and the deliberate destruction of the US military, US intelligence agencies, emergency preparedness, FEMA, National Guard, financial solvency, public oversight and accountability, moral and ethical codes, the Geneva Conventions, the UCMJ, port security, and every strength of ours as a sovereign nation, for the fun and profit of global corporate predators.
I don't think there is a loyal or patriotic cell in his body. I think he is mad like Dr. Strangelove--only not in the least funny or human. Strangelove wanted lots of chicks in the bunkers, for his delectation, and for the re-propagation of the human race, after WW III. What would Rumsfeld want in his bunker? Victims. People whose screams he can enjoy listening to. Blood factories for this vampire needs. And lots of robotic slaves. He really does remind me of something out of "The Lord of the Rings." Irredeemable evil. He makes me shudder with cold. I don't like to say this about a human being. It may be a form of projection--and something to be very wary of. Purist thinking, by which you try to separate yourself from evil and call it "other" (not human) is what leads to inquisitions, witch-hunts, pogroms, lynchings. So I want to temper this a bit. I'm just trying to express the extent of the evil that I think has been done, and who is responsible for it, and I think Rumsfeld bears major responsibility for the Bush Junta's worst crimes. That he is setting up a foundation, and is not in the dock at a war crimes tribunal, is a symptom of the stench that fills our nation's capitol. Apparently, he is the tool of such powerful war profiteer and corporate interests that he cannot be touched.
It may be, however, that he has been curtailed, and is being closely watched, even if he can't be prosecuted. I know that the US military is seething with hatred of Rumsfeld. And it's quite interesting that he is gone (as head of the DoD) with no change of policy in Iraq. Why is he the one who is gone? It has nothing to do with the '06 elections, in my opinion. Our political establishment is howling with laughter at our efforts to outvote their rigged voting machines. They tried to make it look like he resigned because the American people had elected a Democratic Congress, with our primary issue being the war. But since they couldn't give a fuck what we think about the war, why is Rumsfeld gone? Surely such a powerful and power-mad figure could not have been dislodged merely as a cosmetic gesture--part of a pretense that the war would be ended--and one that would be exposed within a few months. They all along intended to ESCALATE the war, not to stop it. So, again, why is Rumsfeld gone? They intend now, and have intended all along (--since 2002 and the fast-track installation of the rigged voting system), a widespread war in the Middle East--Rumsfeld's policy.
Why is he gone? My guess: somebody got the goods on him, on some particularly heinous crime, and forced him out with the threat of exposure. Some courageous soul or souls, perhaps insiders in the military or intelligence communities. It was disclosed to a few people--and maybe to a few select leaders in the Senate and House--who insisted that he resign, but agreed to keep it under wraps. Something so bad that it would greatly rattle and upset the populace, and inspire revolt not just against the war but all corporate/fascist policy. A complete invalidation of corporate/fascist policy. That they could not allow. How would the military/homeland security milktrain be continued, if the Sec of Defense, say, had a hand in 9/11, or ordered up the Niger/Iraq nuke forgeries in a scam to plant the WMDs in Iraq? The people might get restive. We're already restive as it is, and an awful lot of Americans are catching on that it wasn't just the 2004 election that was rigged, but ALL elections. BOTH the Repig and Democratic leaderships are colluding to keep the forever war on track, both to control Mideast oil and to keep all those guns and bullets and bombs and helmets and uniforms and tents and helicopters and jet fighters and battleships and newly designed armored vehicles, and body armor, and all of it--the whole war machine--larding the war profiteers' and the politicians' pockets.
Sweep Rumsfeld under the rug, and move on, amidst a showcase of "investigations" that will never get anywhere.
Ah, me. I'm in a dark mood tonight. Sorry if I'm dragging anybody down. I'm just trying to...comprehend Donald Rumsfeld, the murderer of over half a million people in Iraq, starting a public service foundation. It's kind of "Springtime for Hitler"-ish, if you know what I mean. Mind-boggling.
