7. "Bring Em ON" Cried the AWOL Chimpanzee
"Oh my God" weeped the mother, as the green staff car pulled up to her house.

"Another round of Dom Perrignon for the staff", exclaimed the proud Halliburton exec, at the annual contracting division Christmas party.

"There's plenty of glory for everyone," exclaimed the Pentagon officers at their Christmas dining in.

"Good God, this case is heavy", exclaimed the airman at Dover, as he stacked a grey steel box on a pallet going to the mortuary.

Sad-- so sad, -- people--

8. They finally found him
The drowned man. I was beginning to think I had dreamed the whole thing, that this was nothing more than a nightmare, and I would wake up with none of the bullshit that has taken place of late.
Hell, make that bullshit that's gone on for years.

How in the hell do we stop this ride? 468 dead that they admit to, what's it going to be next christmas?

10. Three more
...that we know of.

You'd think the Bushies would tell the boys on base to hunker down and not go on patrol for a couple of days, if only to improve PR over the holidays, give Americans the sense, no matter how false, that, thanks to the US, peace and freedom reign throughout the world.

Once the Xmas sales start, restart the patrols. Americans shoppers out for bottom-line prices won't notice what's going on...

16. Despicable
Why are troops still there? The Baathists are out of power, Saddam is captured and there are no weapons. I think the Iraqis are adults and quite capable of building the kind of government they want to build. Let's give 'em a few billion for rebuilding and get the hell out of there.

18. All of Congress that voted to give Bush a blank check
for this war should have to walk past the loved ones of these soldiers. There's a few Dems in there too!

19. I am continually saddened by the death and destruction
wreaked by George Bush . I go to bed at night, thinking of the thousands whose lives were snuffed out on a whim of George Bush and his cronies at the PNAC. I see thier smiling, greedy faces before me and I see those faces warp into steel, cold monsters--far more ugly than gargoyles could ever be.

He lied and killed all of those people in the name of the United States of America. He laughs, holds party and party in the White House to celebrate the season, gets dressed up in fancy clothes to visit the Queen and brings along a woman dressed up in upholstry fabric that has been wound around her, rather plump, backside. She never stops smiling--said that it was "necessary" to invade Iraq--

There is no upside to this event--this treason and this tragedy. The so called capture of Saddam Hussein is, relatively, a benign happening and already headed for the memory hole.

Thousands of innocent people who once had a life-who married, worshipped, had hopes and fears, who loved their children as fiercely as we do ours-and now it is just fine and dandy to have killed them all in order to gain some obscure abstract like "freeing" Iraq--another lie. It was the oil that belonged to these llittle children that Bush wanted, and so he simply murdered them all because, he could and he will get away with this murder, besides--as he knew he would.

Any one who supports this wholesale slaughter cannot be ever in a position to reflect upon that murder--they most likely do not care one whit about this murder of thousands--and as for our troops, killed in the line of duty to Bush, the AWOL commander in chief== well it isn't them or their kids who signed up--they do not care about this as much as they do about a four celled blatocele that has been aborted by a woman seeking to control her own reproductive life. In that case they are indignant and are outraged and will take to the streets, bringing their own little children with them to scream their outrage and to demand women do what they do according to their religion and god. It is the same god's business when he encourages a Bush, the man in the White House who has been phtographed with the halo around his head, to murder the infidels and the damn little two year old terrorists--crusades are perfectly acceptable to the crusader god.

The point is that we can do little about it. I personally feel betrayed by all representatives in government who gave Bush the blank check to commit wholesale slaugher on civilians. That is the frustration and the angst. We are without power to do anything but mourn over what has been done in our name. And even there, we are in the minority.

23. Good thing Saddam Hussein has been retrieved.
No one was killed.

It is all an illusion.

The bad, bad, boogie man is in good hands.

This cannot happen to american troops now.

Everyone is safe.

I will happily check my shoes.

People hate us because they cannot shop at mall-mart.

Madcow cannot happen here....it is an illusion.

OR ......

Because we demand our daily bread,
alder in bloom and perennially harvested tenderness,
because we demand that Earth's will be done,
that its fruits be offered to everyone. -- Lorca

I must keep from breaking into the story by force
for if I do I will find myself with a war club in my hand
and the smoke of grief staggering toward the sun,
your nation dead beside you.

I keep walking away though it has been an eternity
and from each drop of blood
springs up sons and daughters, trees,
a mountain of sorrows, of songs. -- Harjo

24. I have a sickening feeling in the pit of my stomach
every time I read this which is every day. May Bush and his cronies rot in hell for all eternity for the deaths of so many innocent people.

Maybe he can go to church tomorrow and pretend that he's Christian for the cameras.
