3. We just buried one of our own two weeks ago.
And, once again, the soldier's mom works at our school.

Our youngest brought home a list of our community's soldiers serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, and next week they were to bring items for goodie bags to send to them.

This is so very sad.

4. His sister's DU post was the highest recommended I have seen
She posted yesterday on DU as maggiegault. I posted a link to her blog http://lauralinger.blogspot.com/ Go spend some time on it. It hurts but you have to do it. Go back to November 2006 when Andy deployed.

Her blog is a window into one family touched by this horrible mistake they are still trying to sell as a war. Imagine if you could see what 3,363 senseless deaths does up close and personal to all the people affected.

I was in tears as I tried to work yesterday. Thank God I'm self employed. Today I am just angry. Laura doesn't have the luxury of going straight to pissed off, but most of us still do. Holding up a sign won't cut it for me anymore. I want these bastards to pay for how little they care about the bright young people they send to cover their lame asses. Point me to the uprising. I'm in.

5. Yes, I've been here since before the recommendation system, and it is almost assuredly
the most recommended post ever. It's just tragic and criminal that it had to be posted at all.

7. I wish our DUers near Killeen could help. I'd go if I was a single
woman still living in Dallas.

This breaks my heart. And there are thousands of other stories that are so very much like this one. It makes my body ache thinking about all of this emotional pain.

10. Someone's husband, daddy, son.....died for GW and Dick and
their unnecessary war. This young man is the moral superior of the greed pigs he died supporting.Bush and Cheney were to chicken to go to Vietnam. Too rich, too priviledged, too elitist.
But people like this poor kid, they don't matter to Bush and Cheney and the neo -con pigs.
