It's Rude-y again Ex-mayor erupts over query on rights
Source: NY Daily News

A hint of the old, in-your-face Rudy Giuliani peeked through the carefully cultivated image of a presidential candidate yesterday when the former mayor went off on a questioner at a campaign stop.

The Republican hopeful held a town hall-style forum at New England College in the first-in-the-nation primary state, drawing a wide range of voter questions. But it was a query about the nexus of personal freedom and public safety that got him going.

"Just about every personal right has been abridged in the name of the war on terror," one man said, citing a litany of concerns such as warrantless wiretapping and prisoner torture. "When will you say, 'That's as far as I will go'?"

Giuliani replied, "You gave an extremely exaggerated presentation of things and you didn't point out the other fact - and that is that we haven't been attacked, and that we've been safe."

"So no rights?" asked the questioner, Marty Capodice, 64, of Hopkinton, N.H.

1. Extremely exaggerated presentation. Actually, we've been attacked thousands of times in Iraq, Rudy,
what Al-Kayyyda calls the "University of Terror." The new place to train to be a really really bad guy.

6. The terrorists achieved their goals. Duh...
They set out to attack the WTC, and they got it on the second try.

Who says they need to do more? The US is doing more harm to itself, on a daily basis, both in capital and in reputation.

BushCo is doing every day what the terrorists wanted and that is to inflame the Muslim world.

2. Well, it least we see his true colors.
I guess the total lack of privacy is no big deal to Rudy.

4. Specious reasoning: The only reasoning the Right has
The fact that there hasn't been an attack on US soil since 911 is as much evidence that Bush, anti-terrorism policies are working, as the fact that giant locust monsters haven't taken over Philadelphia is evidence that the Liberty Bell is an anti-giant locust monster device.

9. In the old days,
that was the reason for balancing a book on your head.

Why are you balancing a book on your head?

To keep the tigers away.

There aren't any tigers around here.

See? It works.

10. "If a Democrat is elected...we will be attacked again." Someone needs to remind Rudy that 9/11
happened on the Republicans' watch.

12. Now that's the Rudy I'm more familiar with,
the arrogant asshole that can't abide anything that even SEEMS like a critical question! Nasty, boorish, infantile-the real Rudy.
