3. Yes over 66 of our troops killed this month

But it won't get the play of the VTech deaths. Nor the tens of thousands of innocent Iraqi deaths since W invaded Iraq.

As Tony Snow said, our dead in Iraq are "just" a number. The VTech students must have been more.

4. According to the corporate media, casualties are a sign of progress.
Jamie McIntyre on CNN said the high casualties means we're doing more so that means more progress.

I hope to see justice one day for every person who had a part in launching the needless Iraq war, including the media whores.

6. Well, by their logic, our Universities must be safer
because the student death toll is higher. Throw it back in their faces.

11. I can't think of anything to write about this.
The endless slaughter of people on both "sides" for the benefit of the very few has gotten to the point where I can't even express my feelings about it. It is such a jumble of mixed emotions ranging from abject horror to rabid outrage to cynical amusement to near indifference that I can't find the words anymore. There are some things worth dying for but none of what is going on now qualifies. It's just such a goddamn joke and insult.
