17. Oh, but haven't you heard? There's no such thing as drowned polar bears.
Rush says polar bears have too much body fat and can't possibly drown.

My neocon shop landlord swears it's true, no lie.

Not the sharpest knives in the drawer, what can I say.

8. How many of you spotted the error in this article?
Namely, the EPA Administrator is Stephen Johnson, not "Dave" Johnson.

Dave's not here, man....

Correction: April 16 Emissions Story

By H. JOSEF HEBERT
The Associated Press
Tuesday, April 17, 2007; 4:34 PM

-- In an April 16 story about the growth of greenhouse gases, The Associated Press incorrectly reported the EPA administrator's first name. He is Stephen Johnson, not Dave Johnson.

<http://www.forbes.com/feeds/ap/2007/04/17/ap3622585.html>

Yet ABC News and a few other "news" outlets are still posting the old, uncorrected story:

The way I see it, those who are signatories to Kyoto are just keeping up with our increases in CO2 emissions. If we actually tried to do something about our own CO2, you'd see a net drop.

OTOH, this also coincides with the recent increases in oil prices, which would naturally result in a drop in use as people would try harder to reduce waste. We keep our thermostat at 64 in the winter, which reduces our footprint from what it was a few years ago. Shame that isn't reflected in our heating bills because the price of heating oil has more than doubled since then.
