By JIM KUHNHENN, Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON (Associated Press) -- Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton had $24 million to spend in her presidential primary campaign at the end of the first quarter, a daunting figure as she seeks to dominate the Democratic field.

Overall, Clinton raised $26 million in the first three months of the year, but $6.9 million is set aside for the general election and can't be used unless she wins her party's nomination.

That means she raised less money for the primary election than her closest rival, Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois.

Obama had not yet filed his report with the FEC Sunday afternoon, but earlier this month he reported raising $23.5 million for the primary.

3. All the money in the world can't erase the name CLINTON
she will withdraw after 4 primaries, that's the over and under.

4. Actually, a name change is relatively cheap.
It certainly doesn't cost millions of dollars to change one's name.

5. Of course, she should immediately change her name
to Hilary Rodham, that will change everything and she will win in a land slide. Thank you captain literal!

6. this is precisely why I won't be voting for her . . .
she's my senator . . . I voted to return her to Washington last November . . .

to WASHINGTON! . . .

not to Iowa, or New Hampshire, or California, or even New York . . .

to Washington! . . . to address some of the innumerable crises facing this nation and the planet right now . . . that's what I voted for her to do . . .

not run around the country raising $24 million -- and just for the PRIMARY, no less . . .

get back to DC and get to work, Senator . . . there is a whole lot that needs doing, and NOW! . . .
