(Associated Press) -- THE RACE: The presidential race for Republicans in California.

THE NUMBERS - Republicans

Rudy Giuliani 36 percent

John McCain 24 percent

Mitt Romney 7 percent

(all other candidates below 5 percent)

The Field poll was conducted March 20-31. For the Republican candidates, 315 voters who say they are likely to vote in the Republican primary in California were asked their preference to win the GOP nomination. The margin of sampling error was plus or minus 6 points.
