ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) -- The battle over whether casino dealers should join labor unions heated up Friday as workers at a third gambling hall sought an election to certify a union there, and a right-to-work group filed a federal complaint seeking to cancel or delay a union vote scheduled for Saturday at another casino.

The National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation, a group that says it fights "compulsory unionism abuses," filed an unfair labor practice charge Friday with the National Labor Relations Board seeking to block an election scheduled for Saturday in which dealers at Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino are to vote on whether to join the United Auto Workers.

The complaint charges that U.S. Rep. Robert Andrews (D-NJ) tampered with the election by holding a rally Sunday night to count union authorization cards signed by employees.

The right to work group claimed Andrews' actions "aided UAW union officials in interfering with the free exercise of employee rights in choosing whether to unionize."
