Halliburton opens manufacturing center in Mexico
by: OilOnline
Wednesday, March 21, 2007

Halliburton’s Energy Services Group (ESG) is opening a new manufacturing center in Monterrey, Mexico, to meet its customers’ increasing demands for energy services products. The grand opening of the facility is expected to take place in May 2007. When operations at the center reach full capacity, the 9,290-square-meter facility will initially create 50 new direct jobs and additional associated supplier jobs.

“Halliburton chose the state of Nuevo Leon for its economic leadership,” said Tony Wham, vice president of Manufacturing, Halliburton. “We have been operating in Mexico for more than 60 years, and Monterrey is a leading industrial area with an experienced workforce, excellent infrastructure and mature supply base. Expanding our operations here demonstrates our desire to continue our longstanding relationship with Mexico.”

The facility will manufacture oilfield equipment for upstream energy customers. It is estimated that more than 300,000 annual productive hours will be provided by Mexican suppliers.

Wonder if their nationalized oil hasn't been sabotaged, with American companies standing by to be the first in line to exploit their problems.

7. The new conservative party that stole the election is the ones
promoting the privatization of the oil. Big surprise. But also the reality is; because a huge chunk of the money made from the oil goes directly to the government to be used for "running" the government (aka graff and bribery) that very little is put back in to the oil industry to upgrade and maintain the facilities and for exploration.

It's going to get a lot worse. Cantrell is seeing a major decline in output. Either Mexico starts taking the remaining proceeds from the oil and invests heavily into alternative fuels or does the privatization in hopes of finding more oil to run their country, otherwise there will be some serious rioting very soon. I predict within 3 to 5 years.

Needless to say, this doesn't bode well for us either as the U.S. is one of the main importers of Mexican oil.

However, keep an eye on Angola. Things will be heating up there very soon.

8. How do you manufacture "War Profiteering"
What products do they manufacture? I thought the only way they made their money was by overcharging the government for "service" during the killing of people.
