E&P: Coulter: Edwards' Campaign Manager 'Fronting for Arab Terrorists'
Editor&Publisher: Coulter: Edwards' Campaign Manager 'Fronting for Arab Terrorists'
By E&P Staff
Published: March 05, 2007

NEW YORK Ann Coulter, fresh from implying that John Edwards is a "faggot," now has a statement on her Web site saying Edwards campaign manager David Bonior "is fronting for Arab terrorists."

Coulter made the homophobic slur about Edwards, a Democratic presidential candidate married to a woman, during a Friday speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference.

Soon after, Bonior announced he was sending out a fund-raising letter seeking "Coulter Cash" to "show every would-be Republican mouthpiece that their bigoted attacks will not intimidate this campaign."

A copy of Bonior's letter was posted on Coulter's Web site, with this note underneath: "It's always good to divert Bonior from his principal pastime which is fronting for Arab terrorists."

Bonior was elected to Congress half a dozen times in Michigan, AND SERVED IN VIETNAM....

4. I was thinking the same thing...it's time to start filing lawsuits
against the Coulters, O'Reillys and Limpballs of the world. These people are allowed to say whatever they want even if not true.

Hit em where they understand...in their wallets.

15. If they're public figures
Edited on Mon Mar-05-07 03:44 PM by SemperEadem
then actual malice has to be able to be proven... thing is, because they're public figures, it's part of the game of politics.

In Bonoir's case, it's hard to tell because while he's affiliated with a national figure, who heard of his name before Republican Party Spokeswoman Ann Coulter(aka Bonezilla) flipped into crazy and said this? He may be able to successfully win a slander suit against her.

Edwards, on the other hand, would have a hard case to prove--but he's a lawyer, so he would know if a suit by him would pass muster.

Since launching the F bomb and getting applause and riling up the liberals, she thinks she's on a roll now and she's going to keep running her train until she can't get any more media attention. Then she'll write a book about her adventures and start the circus all over again.

Any media outlet that gives her a pass should have their sponsors boycotted.

19. Bonior's not a national figure, and she has reached actual malice.
Sue that wretch into oblivion.

3. How is it that there are never legal ramifications for the shit she says?
I refuse to waste any more energy on outrage for this hideous creature. I think the time has come to just ignore every vile word that comes out of her mouth and just pretend she doesn't exist. Clearly she's unbalance and thrives on getting people upset. We should just stop giving her what she wants.

10. I think Coulter is used by the Republicans...
If they wanted to shun her, they would. If they didn't like what she says--they
could tank her career and make her a pariah.

However, they don't. The Republicans use Coulter to make the Democrats look weak.

Yes, her remarks are bigoted and completely ridiculous. However, it's her behavior
and her bullying--that gives her venom the biggest punch. Her domineering, stone-faced
comments are designed to put the Democrats on the defensive and to force them into
operating from a position of weakness.

I hate what Coulter says. However, it's not WHAT she says that is helpful to
the Republicans--it's HOW she says it. By defending WHAT she says, you allow
her to dictate the discourse. When she calls Edwards a "faggot", replying
with, Oh yeah, well he's married!" isn't effective.

It puts her in control.

I believe this is a very orchestrated, deliberate tactic which is designed to underscore
the big Republican lie---that Democrats are wussies and cannot be trusted with
national security and protecting our country.

Anne's words are designed to attract the spotlight to the political ring--in which she
manhandles, denigrates and disrespects powerful Democrats--which gives the illusion
that the Democrats can be kicked around.

The Democrats need to ignore her inane comments and attack and humiliate the core of her tactics. When
a bully shouts at you, "Yer a lily-livered weenie!" you don't play on their court and
should back, "I am not a lily-livered weenie and I can give you seven reasons why!". It
makes you look weak. Hit back at her with humor...laugh at the fact that a grown woman who
speaks at a Republican dinner--is throwing cheap shots that one usually hears from gum-smacking,
drunk sorority girls. Don't tell Ann that she's being "intolerant" tell her, "Gee Ann, one
usually has to venture into the cookie aisle at the Piggly Wiggly to hear classy talk like that."
Position her as laughable GARBAGE.

MAKE FUN OF HER!! CALL HER ABSURDITY OUT! Do not defend yourself against her
specific insults. That's what she wants and we will lose every time using those
tactics.

16. Coulter's doing her job, and doing it well
Ann Coulter's sole purpose in life is to make the rest of the Republican Party look sane and reasonable.

It's workin', ain't it?

18. She solidifies the right. They love her. Forget all the "she shouldn't say that"
crap coming from the likes of Romney et.al. When she speaks the haters of the right unite. Watch Romney's numbers go up over this. Getting his name linked is all that is needed. All those facist right wing haters who have only hjeard he is from that communist state now associate him with hate-filled-annie. He'll be 30% by next week.

20. How does a lying buffoon like Coulter get so much press?
I don't understand it. She makes slanderous statements about people that have absolutely no basis in reality, and then reporters print her crap and give her totally undeserved publicity.

How can anyone take her seriously? She's a pathetic joke.

21. Coulter's Commonalities With Amadinejad, House of Saud
Here's a point that at least a few of us have noticed, and one that I think progressives ought to hammer the Coulter person with hard and often. Has anyone noticed that Ann Coulter, like the virulently anti-American Iranian president Amadinejad, and like the royal house of Saud, has NO interest in seeing the US and other western countries moving away from fossil fuels towards a sustainable energy future? Money paid to Saudi arabia is used to fund the Iraqis that kill American troops and fund virulently bigoted Wahabii-oriented madrases (Islamic religious schools) that preach religious hatred. Talking about paying for the ropes that will hang us...

22. Judging from this and the previous attack on former Senator Edwards,
I'd say that she considers him to be a real and credible roadblock in her efforts to get a Republican in the White House this November.

John Edwards must be scaring the crap out of her.

23. republicons trashing another honorable U.S. veteran
The republicons HATE our honorable veterans. A pack of chickenhawks who never served a day, they steal all the money for veterans services via Halliburton and other republicon cronies, then the republicons slander any person who actually gave honorable service to the US of A.

Why do republicons hate America?

Why do they hate veterans who served the USA honorably?

Why are there so many traitorous republicons?

Funny how all these clowns gang up on the same candidate at the same time. It's Edwards' turn now.

25. Sam Seder speculated this morning that Coulter might be a performance artist
like Andy Kaufman. Wouldn't it be awesome if she really was a liberal gay transsexual and her whole act was to demonstrate the utter depravity of the right?
In which case: :applause: well done!

26. You know now that I think about the Ann Coulters are like test
balloons, she,Limpballs and O'leilly test the waters to see how far they can push the lies and rhetoric. Before when the Repugs were in control they had no limits, now the with Democratic party in control...it seems that the line is getting pushed back.
