Iraqi PM Appoints New Inspector Gen At Oil Ministry -Source
Iraq's Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has appointed a new inspector general for the oil ministry, an Iraqi oil ministry source said Monday.

The source said that Abdul Kareem Luaby was appointed inspector general for the oil ministry to replace Ali Al-Alak who was promoted to the post of secretary general of the cabinet.

Luaby has been in charge of the ministry's technical department.

The inspector general usually reports corruption at the various oil ministry offices and smuggling of crude oil and products.
