11. It's not like he has any marketable skills

He probably barely understood what he was doing as a senator. Probably didn't understand the basics of government. He had a staff to write his speeches and bills. The only thing he could do was make clear his hatred of homosexuals or any value or institution that helped anyone but the rich. Now, you can make money like that as an evangelist like Falwell or Robertson, but he's a Catholic, which presents problems as the religion is very structured from the top on down so it's not like he could basically declare his own version of his religion like Pat or Jerry and start fleecing people without getting in trouble. Plus, Bill Donohue has the Catholic nutcase job all sewn up, and he's probably not doing as well financially as what Santorum would like to do.
