CNN: Bin Laden will be caught, White House vows
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Four days after Saddam Hussein's capture, the White House vowed Tuesday to find another most-wanted fugitive -- terrorist leader Osama bin Laden.

"We're continuing to pursue other leaders within that al Qaeda terrorist network, including Osama bin Laden. I think he can fully expect that he will be brought to justice by this administration," White House spokesman Scott McClellan said.

Although the president once said bin Laden was "wanted dead or alive," recent White House practice has been to respond to questions about why he has not been apprehended by saying al Qaeda is about more than one person.

1. I sense an "October Surprise"
Was Saddam drugged and put into that spider hole?

The briefcase that was found nearby, was that planted?

Do they already have bin Laden and they are going to hold on to him until October? Is he currently drugged in a cave?

Why am I skeptical about the news I am being fed?

3. I have no doubts they'll catch him
Perfectly timed and executed, with media present, right before the elections.

Next they'll find WMDs.

And even if they don't *really* find either, it's not too much to assume an administration that's lied in the past will continue to do so, now is it?

4. Of course they will find bin Laden
but I lean towards August, right before the repug convention. That way they can bring BL's head to NYC on a silver platter. I think they'll save the WMD's for their October surprise, cause that will vindicate W and it will be too close to the election to prove whether or not they are real WMD's or that they really belonged to Saddam.

5. if he's alive
i think it's very probable that bushco has something up it's sleeve.
i've never seen a crew as devious and demented as bushco.
they knew and lied about 9-11 -- so why not come up with bin laden as a surprise. wouldn't that be an interesting cork in the 9-11 bottle?

6. The right wingers are having a fit over an alleged off the record remark
by Madame Allbright suggesting she expects an October suprise.

7. That's all folks
They already have him then. That's about as close to confirmation as we'll ever get.

Democrats had better start finding something else to hammer Bush on because the cheerleader posse are going to love this.

11. You're right!
He is in a spider whole somewhere, likely without a gun since he might use it on himself or others.

8. They know exactly where bin Laden is.

They have known it since Day One. He will be "captured" just in time for the PugVention in New York City, I believe. It would be pretty easy right now to say it's in the bag for bu$h--but it was also in the bag for Poppy back in '91.

10. Here's a WMD scenario ... wonder just how plausible this is...

<snip>
I listened to a Jordanian businessman who has worked in Iraq for years share his theory about why Saddam allowed himself to be captured alive. He feels Saddam didn't kill himself because he is ready to cut a deal with the US. They will ask Saddam where the WMD's are, and Saddam will tell them there are none. They will tell him they will put some in Iraq, and Saddam will lead the Americans to them, in exchange for allowing Saddam to be tried in the high court, rather than that which has been appointed (IGC) by the Americans in Iraq.

EDIT: They either have OBL on ice somewhere or they know his exact location and have been waiting for THEIR timing debut.. photo op moment.

Gives a whole other meaning to Kodak moment :P I can't believe that with all our technology and under cover ops that they can't locate OBL or even Saddam. To me that is laughable if you really consider all the detail they are able to see via Satellites, etc.
