BBC: Nuclear review 'was misleading'
Edited on Thu Feb-15-07 04:19 PM by bananas
There are two video clips on the bbc website which give a sense of the importance of this,
one directly linked from the article as "The implications of the high court ruling",
and from that window a "related" video clip "Alistair Darling outlines the government's stance on nuclear energy".

Nuclear review 'was misleading'

<snip>

A judge ruled that the consultation process before the decision last year had been "misleading", "seriously flawed" and "procedurally unfair".

<snip>

The judge granted what he called a "quashing order".

Shadow trade and industry secretary Alan Duncan said: "This is an astonishing ruling.

"What it really says is that the government has been shown up as fundamentally deceitful."

<snip>

(edit to add: thanks for the heart!)
