Lawyers for terror plot suspect Willie Brigitte have told a Paris court he was repeatedly beaten by Australian and French police.

They also said his Australian wife Melanie Brown was threatened by French authorities in order to gain evidence to her husband's role in a suspected Sydney terror plot ...

He said he asked to speak to the French consulate and was told the French did not give a damn about him, that they had requested his arrest, and were going to send him to Guantanamo Bay ...

When he arrived in France, he said he was immediately detained by French authorities and was told, erroneously, that his parents and brother had been placed under arrest in his native Guadeloupe - a French Caribbean island ...
