Hussein capture unlikely to lead to WMD stash: ex-UN weapons chief Blix
http://www.spacewar.com/2003/031215175811.avkqdlo7.html

The capture of Saddam Hussein is unlikely to help the US-led occupation forces in Iraq track down the weapons of mass destruction (WMD) they have been looking for, former UN chief weapons inspector Hans Blix said Monday.
"Partly because Saddam himself has denied their existance, and partly because the country has already been inspected fairly closely," he told Swedish newswire TT Monday.

Blix, who was charged with searching for such weapons in the 15 weeks leading up to the US-led invasion of Iraq, said Saddam may still tell investigators how Iraq acquired the weapons, developed them and eventually got rid of them.

Blix, a former Swedish diplomat, said that the capture could give more Iraqis the courage to offer up information to the occupation forces.

1. In yesterday's news conference...
...the chimp stated that if David Kay had been the one inspecting prior to the US & coalition forces entering Iraq, the WMD would have been found.

An absurd and disturbing statement from an equally absurd and disturbing pResident.

2. He's right, though.
Kay would have made sure the WMDs were planted before he even started "looking" for them.

6. Don't be so sure they didn't already do this. Special ops were in Iraq
up to 18 months before we invaded...ours and Israeli special ops. Now what do you think they were doing there? Remember we said for certain that we knew there were WMDs there.

I often wondered whether or not they were planted and then the special ops were double-crossed and the planted weapons were sold to the opposition(whoever that is now). We were just TOO CERTAIN the WMDs would be found. We went way out on a limb causing the deaths of too many good people just to have a hunch or "intelligence." The only reason we could be so sure would be one and only one way...to have put them there, unbeknownst to Blix, Saddam or anybody else except those complicit with us.

4. Courage?
Blix, a former Swedish diplomat, said that the capture could give more Iraqis the courage to offer up information to the occupation forces.

If bombing the Hell out of Iraqi citizens with 2,000lb bombs and killing thousands of citizens wasn't convincing enough, then why would the capture of a rag-tag despot who has been out of the picture for the last 9 months give more "courage" to provide information about WMDs?

5. I wonder...
if Saddam's capture will help us find the band of fairies roaming around the desert?

I bet the fairies have the WMDs.
