Two U.S. soldiers, one marine killed in Iraq
BAGHDAD, Jan 31 (Reuters) - Two U.S. soldiers and one marine died on Tuesday from wounds suffered in combat in Iraq's restive western province of Anbar, the U.S. military said on Wednesday.

A statement gave no details of how the three were killed.

U.S. forces in Anbar are battling a fierce Sunni Arab insurgency that has made the area among the most troublesome provinces in Iraq since the March 2003 invasion.

Around 4,000 of an extra 21,500 U.S. troops coming to Iraq are destined to reinforce Anbar province, which includes insurgent hotspots such as Ramadi and Falluja.

6. We're supposed to feel safer when this happens
because the soldiers died "protecting us."

I've been waiting all day, and I still don't feel safer.
